About the cruise

Aurora’s world cruise is a classic circumnavigation of the globe heading first for the Cape Verde Islands and St. Helena, before heading further south to South Africa.

You will spend an evening in the revered city of Cape Town before setting sail for East London. Here you will witness some of the world’s most spectacular and breathtaking scenery. Durban is your final call in South Africa and it’s from this culturally diverse city that you set off into the Indian Ocean for the island of Reunion and, later, Mauritius.

Idyllic Phuket appears next on the horizon. Its rich temples and beautiful beaches provide a fascinating and relaxing day. Then it’s off to the oldest British settlement in Malaysia – Penang. Still in Malaysia you visit the modern city of Kuala Lumpur.

A call into cosmopolitan Singapore preludes your visit to Australia. Your exploration of the Southern Hemisphere will include visits to Townsville, the Whitsunday Islands, Brisbane and two days in Sydney. A few days later you arrive in New Zealand and the capital of Wellington. There’s everything here from art and culture to snowcapped mountain ranges and golden beaches. Napier and Auckland follow, the latter providing an intriguing insight into the Maori culture. The stunningly beautiful Bay Of Islands ends your call into New Zealand and next you head for the Pacific paradise islands of Moorea, Papeete and Hawaii – islands made for pure relaxation.

The Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco is the first sight that greets you as you sail into this incredibly cosmopolitan city. Acapulco, Mexico’s most vibrant and renowned resort, is next on your itinerary. Soak up the lively atmosphere and see all the sights before you move on to the beach paradise of Huatulco.

Navigating the world’s most famous shortcut – the magnificent Panama Canal – Aurora slowly makes her way through the mighty Gatun Locks. Once you have made this incredible journey you head straight for the tropical paradise islands of the Caribbean. Curacao with its distinctly Dutch influence and pretty Antigua provide beaches aplenty and the opportunity to shop for unique souvenirs. From here you make your way back to Southampton calling at Madeira en route. Having travelled 32,256 nautical miles you arrive home having experienced more destinations in one holiday than many people experience in a lifetime.
