Step aboard the magnificent 107-foot Huon pine motor cruiser – the ‘Denison Star’. Steeped in tradition, the vessel has been luxuriously re-appointed and re-designed. The lower deck is fully air-conditioned and on the upper deck is an outside area shaded by a canopy. Originally built in Hobart during 1967/1968, the ‘Denison Star’ is the largest Huon pine vessel to be built in Australia. An Australian icon in timber boats, the ‘Denison Star’ now combines traditional style cruising with modern day comfort.

Departing from Airlie Beach, this 2-hour leisurely cruise with commentary will cross the Whitsunday Passage, passing a number of island resorts and landmarks. Learn the history of the Whitsunday Islands whilst savouring scones and muffins along with freshly brewed coffee and tea.

Your early morning 1½ hour transfer aboard a luxury catamaran takes you to a purpose-built pontoon on the Great Barrier Reef. As you leave the anchorage, you’ll glide through the magnificent Whitsunday Islands to the pontoon, where you will have approximately 3 hours to indulge in a wide range of activities.

The range seems limitless. Revel in spectacular underwater vistas from the pontoon’s viewing chamber without getting wet! Later, take the semi-submersible for panoramas of colourful tropical fish and intricate coral gardens. Inviting waters provide a tempting attraction for those wishing to swim or snorkel. Optional activities, such as guided snorkelling trips and scuba diving are available at your own expense, payable direct (please note these activities are not guaranteed).
