The awards ceremony took place on Sunday 14 May 2023 at the Royal Festival Hall and was televised on BBC One and iPlayer. While we may be a tad biased, we think this partnership is a match made in heaven. Stay tuned for the best highlights from the night...

A love story: season one

We’re so excited to be announcing our multi-year partnership with the BAFTA Television Awards. Especially as we both know a thing or two about showstopping views. Whether you’re watching the sun set from our newest ship’s SkyDome or your television screen, we each bring you closer to extraordinary sights, entertainment and experiences. What’s more, we share a love for those stories that stay with you. The ones you bring home from an unforgettable trip to find new places, cultures and cuisines. Or those home-grown stories that are brought to life in your living room. Whether it’s a BAFTA-worthy series or a P&O Cruises holiday, we both whisk you from reality, to connect with others and get away from the everyday. Because that’s what life is all about, after all.

''We could not be more delighted to be working in partnership with BAFTA for the upcoming TV Awards. This headline sponsorship brings together two iconic British brands, both steeped in heritage and with huge synergies in entertainment and experience.

Just like holidays, TV provides escapism from the everyday and the BAFTA TV Award categories and nominees represent huge variety, with programming and talent which truly celebrates the best of the best.''

- P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow

Our award

As part of the partnership P&O Cruises will launch the ‘P&O Cruises Memorable Moment Award’, the only award voted for by members of the viewing public. The award will honour the impact of television in the UK which has the power to entertain, inform and bring the nation together.

This trophy is truly one of a kind!

We’re delighted to reveal the trophy for the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment Award. For the very first time, the famous BAFTA mask has been made in our signature shade of blue. On 14 May it was awarded to one of the six nominees for the most memorable TV moment. It’s the sole category to be decided by the viewing public and there can be only one winner!

A big personality for a memorable night!

We’re thrilled to announce that one of Britain’s most popular broadcasters, Sara Cox, was at the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises to capture all the excitement for us. Sara talked to the stars, including the nominees and winners, in exclusive interviews that we will soon share. After she did such an amazing job of co-hosting Arvia’s Caribbean naming ceremony, we couldn’t think of a better person for the role!
