Of all the ships in all our fleet, what makes Britannia so magical that she has the highest number of returning guests who say she’s their favourite? Now she’s even more special, following her exciting make-over, we hope to please, pamper and delight loyal and new guests alike. If you’ve chosen her for your holidays before, you’ll see that stepping on board Britannia feels better than ever. And if you’ve not yet had the pleasure, here’s what you can look forward to…

Britannia’s décor is even more of a vision now with new designs, colours and textiles throughout the ship. Bringing Britannia in line with the lighter and brighter contemporary touches of our newest ships, Arvia and Iona, new ideas, more choice and refreshed venues include:

  • Fantastic new furnishings in Brodie’s, The Glass House, the casino, Crow’s Nest, Epicurean and Java.
  • Sunset Bar with warm, welcoming colours, cosy cushions and comfy seating for Lido Deck drinks with wonderful wake views.
  • Our elegant Crystal Room, now fully dressed to impress in a stunning new colour scheme.
  • New dancefloors in The Live Lounge and The Limelight Club for the nights you want to party.
  • Enhanced crew areas for even more comfort in the working and living spaces – our ships are homes from home for over 150 different nationalities.
  • New private viewing facility in the relocated Photo Gallery to capture those special memories.
  • Refreshed and relocated ELEMIS shop with pop-up massage offering for quick-fix relaxation.
  • Oasis Spa and Salon, enhancing the ambience of the ship’s most serene space.
  • New furniture and tiles in a fresh, new colour palette for the Lido and Serenity pools.
  • Enhanced splash area for children with colourful, interactive water features.

1. Market Café is an even sweeter treat

There’s a brand-new look and all-new mouth-watering menu at Market Café on Deck 5 in Britannia’s elegant Atrium, where you can indulge in sweet and savoury delights throughout the day. Settle into a cosy world of temptation with a fresh menu of delectable treats and savoury delights. Unwind with a Costa coffee or indulge in the exclusive afternoon tea, Snowflake Gelato and fine patisserie.

2. Booking a holiday has never been so relaxing

We’ve made room for a beautiful new luxury Loyalty and Cruise Sales space, so booking your next holiday with us can be even more relaxed and enjoyable. Come along and browse the latest brochures, chat to the team and enjoy this dedicated, comfortable and stylish brand-new inspiring holiday space.

3. Roll out the red carpet

And not just red carpet! Here’s a few stats on the many miles of fresh new corridors and cabins we’ve newly furnished underfoot to leave you feeling like you’re walking on air. We’ve replaced:

  • over 10,000 sq m in social spaces and venues, including the Freedom and Club restaurants
  • over 1,000 guest cabins
  • over 4,200 meters of walkway (original alleyway) carpet (almost 3 miles’ worth)


As Britain’s favourite cruise line, we continually invest in our ship to ensure you have a holiday like never before. This major makeover has added even more elegance and stylish enhancements across many venues on board Britannia.
