Our latest collection is filled to the brim with so many incredible holidays and dreamy destinations. Below are a few of the incredible places we’ll be sailing back to, if any of them take your fancy…
The picturesque fjord city of Molde is an enchanting blend of beautiful scenery and vibrant city life. It is flanked by the towering mountains of Romsdalsfjord and is especially well-known for its pristine rose gardens - hence often being referred to as the Nordic ‘town of roses’. Molde is criss-crossed with numerous hiking trails and ski routes. From the the Varden viewpoint, you can marvel at the natural splendor of the surrounding 222 mountain summits – a truly remarkable sight throughout the year. If you have time, look back in time at the fascinating Romsdal museum, or perhaps enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple on deck as you drink in the view.
Istanbul lies at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, straddling the Bosphorus Strait, with its many ships and bustling city life on both sides of the ancient waterway. As Turkey’s largest and most highly populated city, Istanbul is awash with world renowned landmarks, busy street markets and ancient mosques. The Hagia Sophia grand mosque lies at the centre of Istanbul’s historic heart. Along with the famous Blue Mosque, with their towering minarets, these imposing structures give Istanbul’s skyline its iconic shape. For avid shoppers, Istanbul is perfect. It has one of the world's first-ever shopping malls, the Grand Bazaar – well worth a visit.
La Goulette is the port town of Tunis, Tunisia’s capital. It is located on a large sandbar between Lake Tūnis and the Gulf of Tunis, hence its Arabic name, alq al-Wādī, meaning “river’s throat”. La Goulette connects to Tunis via seven mile-long canal and is the chief commercial port in the country. La Goulette was hugely popular as a summer retreat for Europeans during the 19th century. In fact, the sector known as La Petite Sicile (Little Sicily) was home to many Italian, Maltese and Jewish families. The street markets are famed for their heady mix of spices and vividly-coloured fruit and vegetables.
Bodrum is one of Turkey’s most famous resort towns. At first glance, it’s easy to see why. The sun often shines and the skies are almost always blue. Glorious beaches are fringed by charming buildings, shimmering blue waters, with bobbing superyachts, fishing boats, and a plethora of sights to see. Located along the south-west Aegean coast of Turkey, Bodrum is part of the province of Muğla. In ancient Greek, Bodrum was referred to as Halicarnassus, and was famed as the location of the tomb of Mausolus (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and the origin of the modern word, ‘mausoleum’).
Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt (after Cairo, the nation’s capital) and was once the county’s chief city. Standing on the southern coastline of the shimmering Mediterranean, Alexandria was named after Alexander the Great, who constructed the city as early as 331 B.C. At that time, it was known as the Hellenic Roman Capital of Egypt and lay at the heart of ancient civilization and culture. Now, Alexandria is a magnet for tourists eager to soak up its fascinating history, explore its many ancient monuments, bustling markets, or simply to bask in the sunshine on its golden beaches.
