The beauty of a Ceremony at Sea is that you can focus on your next adventure together while we create the day of your dreams.

Before you set sail, you’ll be assigned a dedicated professional ceremonies coordinator to organise your event, who will work with you to help you plan your perfect day. Once you’re on your ship, an on-board ceremony coordinator will be on hand throughout your holiday to help with any last questions and additional requirements – and they’ll make sure your special day is stress-free and fun, helping you with all the personal touches, from bouquets, buttonholes and cakes to food, fizz and photography – not to mention any personal requests to make your occasion your own. And, of course, our captains will be honoured to conduct the ceremony itself.

If you’re having a wedding ceremony, you’ve the added bonus of being able to slip seamlessly into honeymoon mode from the moment you say ‘I do’. Relax and revel in the joys of married life on board and keep the celebrations going on shore in an array of fabulous destinations.

We highly recommend a wedding at sea as it was just so easy, stress-free and memorable. The day was perfect – an intimate ceremony with close friends and family was just what we wanted. The initial planning phase was effortless thanks to Bo, our ceremonies coordinator. And Jordan, our event organiser on board, was amazing. Any query at any time of the day, he got it sorted.

The wedding was so special because it was unique, with beautiful weather and surroundings and being married by a captain! A trip to the bridge with both our fathers topped it off. We had speeches in the Ivory Suite, drinks in The Glass House and our entire party played bingo suited and booted! After dinner, we went for cocktails in Metropolis. We’d like to thank Jordan and his team for making our day perfect. Every request was no trouble. Also, thank you to our photographer Alice for taking such brilliant pictures to look back on.

On the day of their anniversary, our parents were escorted to the Ivory Suite where they were met by the captain and several other officers. They were presented with a congratulatory message from Her Majesty the Queen (organised by us, their children, with liaison between Buckingham Palace and P&O Cruises) and a floral arrangement and a bottle of Champagne courtesy of P&O Cruises.

They were also given a voucher for a fine-dining experience. They thoroughly enjoyed their day as they also had help from their butler to organise a pre-dinner drinks get-together with their fellow diners. As their children, our aim was that they would be ‘made a fuss of’. Thanks to the P&O Cruises team, that mission was accomplished.

Thank you for the wonderful experience we had on Iona. Our ceremony was amazing! Special thanks to captain Robert Camby, who conducted the ceremony (the first on Iona) and to the fantastic events manager Claudia, who looked after us and arranged everything down to the last detail.

Thank you, too, to everyone who looked after us on board, including the salon team for the great shave and Charlotte’s hairstyle, the crew who pressed our clothes and all the teams behind the scenes. Everything went like clockwork. We had the time of our lives, which we will cherish forever.

Our wedding on Azura was a second time around for both of us and we were made to feel very special. The entire event went ahead very smoothly. Everyone did their best to ensure it was a day to remember, from the captain to the pianist at the ceremony and everyone in between. There are several people who went out of their way to make it happen for us. Our wedding coordinator Reno did his very best to make the day a success and Danielle our photographer did a fantastic job. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We had a wonderful time!
