The best time to see the Northern Lights in Norway is between late September and late March; the luminescent light show, if it appears, projects strikingly against the long dark nights prevalent during these months. It’s worth noting that, as a natural wonder, the Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis, are never a promise. But, with the right preparation and led by one of our expert guides, you have the best chance of successfully seeking them out. 

At springtime, bright yellow tulips stretch for many miles across the Netherlands in what amounts to one of the world’s largest gardens. If you’d like to experience a part of this colourful display, you’ll want to visit Keukenhof gardens, home to over seven million glorious bulbs. You could also make the trip on ships Iona and Britannia, which sail to Rotterdam; you’ll want to make your way to Amsterdam first before heading to the gardens, totalling just over an hour’s journey.
