All the shops - and they boast genuine bargains in the jewellery, perfume, drinks line - are concentrated in and around Charlotte Amalie. Around the island, you will want to see Magen's Bay, voted one of the world's top ten most beautiful beaches. Or take the short boat trip to neighbouring St. John where its national park has more than 40 beautiful beaches and coves.
