Historic Aarhus Walking Tour

Your first stop is the beautiful Aarhus Cathedral, which dates from 1190. At 300-feet long and 310 feet high, it’s Denmark's longest and tallest church. It’s also filled with 14^th and 15^th-century frescoes, and a magnificent 16^th-century carved altar.

You’ll stroll along the cobbles of the historic Latin Quarter, which is filled with unique boutiques and cosy cafés, and visit the gothic Church of Our Lady. Although the church was built in 1880, its astonishing crypt is much older and features the oldest arched space in Scandinavia.

You’ll pass some of Aarhus’ most celebrated sights including the huge ARoS museum with its colourful ‘Your Rainbow Panorama’, and the beautiful Norwegian-marble-clad Aarhus City Hall. Then soak up magnificent, panoramic city views at the Salling Rooftop, an urban oasis on the roof of the Salling Department Store.
