Behold some of Norway’s most spectacular landscapes on an unforgettable journey to the famous Troll Wall.
Drive along the shore of the glassy Borgundfjord, through the emerald Valldal valley and up to the picturesque Gudbrandsjuvet gorge. From the viewing platform, look out over the narrow, deep gorge as the rushing river foams below you.
Follow the valley towards the Trollstigen mountain road, AKA the Troll’s Path, and stop at the summit to photograph the awe-inspiring scenery. Weave around 11 hairpins as you descend one of the country’s most dramatic mountain roads. Stop to admire the thundering Stigrøra waterfall and drive through Åndalsnes to the famous Troll Wall.
Take some time to marvel at the 3,300-foot vertical mountain face – the highest in Europe – before soaking up more sights on the drive back to Ålesund. During the day, you’ll tuck into a Norwegian buffet lunch and you’ll have a chance to browse for souvenirs.
