Hunt for a spectacular celestial phenomenon on this accessible evening experience in the Norwegian wilderness.
On board your ship you’ll meet Trygve Nygard, a local expert in all things Northern Lights. He’ll tell you all about the Aurora Borealis, explaining why they occur and advising you on the best settings for your camera to capture pictures of Mother Nature’s light show.
Trygve does the hard work in advance, monitoring the skies and the weather forecast to determine the best spot to visit. So, all you need to do is relax on the drive to the chosen countryside location. Once there, enjoy hot drinks in a lavvu (a tent like a tepee) while soaking up the anticipation. Outside, simply gaze upwards and if you’re lucky, you’ll be treated to glowing colours dancing through the darkness – a special phenomenon that has to be seen to be appreciated.
