Visit the Boazo Sámi Siida settlement, which has been converted into a cultural Sámi museum, and receive a warm welcome by your traditionally dressed Sámi hosts. You’ll see their reindeer and enter their ‘Lavvu’ to enjoy a tea or coffee, with cakes. Meet the friendly huskies at the Husky Centre and learn how they prepare for Europe’s longest dog race. In the Pæskatun slate quarry, visit the workshop for a slate-cutting demonstration and watch an informative Northern Lights presentation. Then wander around the charming cultural exhibits in Alta Museum, and stop for photos of the uniquely shaped Northern Lights Cathedral.
