Riding through traditional villages that haven’t changed in decades, you’ll make a photo stop in Falefa village at the 100-year-old cathedral. You’ll also stop at the nearby Falefa Falls, which sits in a lush garden setting. When you reach Vaillele, you’ll receive a warm welcome with a Kava Ceremony and cultural show. Then watch as the locals demonstrate how they cook their food in an umu, or Samoan oven. You’ll have a chance to try a selection of dishes cooked on these aboveground ovens, including fresh fish, along with coconut drinks and local seasonal fruits.
