Board the funicular at Mount Fløyen and watch the vistas grow ever-more dramatic as you steadily climb to the viewing platform, which sits at over 1,000 feet above sea level. From up here, you’ll enjoy awe-inspiring panoramas across Bergen and the glassy, mountain-flanked fjord below. Take plenty of photos and perhaps pick up a souvenir from the gift shop before you take the relaxing journey back down the mountain.
Heading back into town, a leisurely drive takes you by the famous fish market and on towards the peninsula of Nordnes, with its typical 19th-century, white wooden houses. Pausing at the Tollboden viewpoint, you’ll have a chance to capture the wonderful scenes encompassing the city and the port below.
