Cross the Charles River to Cambridge before strolling through the quaint student neighbourhood to Harvard Yard, the heart of America's oldest university. Visit Old North Church, the oldest standing church in Boston, where, on 18th April 1775, Paul Revere ordered two lanterns to be hung to signal the approach of the British Redcoats. Pass other landmarks – the New State House, Trinity Church, Boston Public Library, Boston Common and Beacon Hill. Follow the Freedom Trail past the King's Chapel, Old South Meeting House – where the Boston Tea Party began, before heading for Quincy Market.
