Built on a spit of land jutting out into the sea, the ancient city of Nora was founded under Carthaginian rule and later came under Roman control, so it’s a treasure trove of history. Admire the splendid mosaics and massive public bath system. Marvel at the theatre – almost intact after nearly 20 centuries. Visit the Punic Temple of Eshmun. Spot the 400-year-old Spanish watchtower that looks out over the water. It’s a site full of intrigue.
