Experience an immersive journey into Sardinia’s wild landscapes and get close to nature in the unspoilt Monte Arcosu reserve.
Hop into your rugged jeep and head out through the streets of Cagliari into the surrounding countryside. Make a brief photo stop at Santa Gilla lagoon, a protected wetland area and paradise for flamingos and many other species of birds. Enjoy the ever-changing views as you climb into the mountainous region that’s home to the Nature Reserve of Monte Arcosu. Owned by the WWF, the area is full of splendid holm oak forests. Set out on foot for a short, guided trek along paths rich in wildlife and fragrant vegetation. It’s an oasis for boar, hare and wild cat. Keep your eyes peeled as you might be lucky enough to spot a Sardinian deer. And don’t forget to look up as you might see a golden eagle soaring overhead. It’s an experience that’s made for nature lovers.
After your trek, enjoy some time to relax at the reserve and tuck into Sardinian snacks and refreshments.
