Hop into a river boat in the Cairns Marina and travel back in time as you cruise into the traditional lands of the Mandingalbay Yidinji people. Your indigenous guide will introduce you to the cultural landscape, as you enter the stunning mangrove forest, and you’ll experience a cleansing Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, where the sea water meets the fresh water. After a short bus ride, walk the Mayi Bugan Rainforest Trail and discover ancient Aboriginal traditions and artefacts, and native foods and bush medicines. Then enjoy a fresh baked morning tea with local fruits, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
