Ride one of Earth’s great railways, visit breathtaking waterfalls, explore an enchanting village and enjoy a tasty Norwegian lunch.
Board the train at Flåm Station and soak up dramatic mountain views as you ascend 2,800 feet over a distance of just 12 miles. Hop off briefly en-route to admire the majestic Kjosfossen waterfall and switch trains at Mydral Station to continue down the lush Raundalen Valley to Voss.
Spend free time wandering around the pretty village on the edge of Vangs Lake and perhaps shop for local handicrafts before sitting down to tuck into a Norwegian lunch, then head to the Tvinde Waterfall to photograph the rushing waters dancing down the mountainside.
Admire the sparkling Oppheim Lake and gaze out over Nærøy Valley as you wind down the steep road skirting the Sivle and the Stalheim waterfalls. And on the way back to Eidfjord, cross the Hardanger Bridge – a suspension structure almost a mile long that crests 180 feet above the surface of the glistening fjord.
