Hop in a toboggan and feel the rush as your experienced ‘drivers’ guide you down the steep hill to Livramento, using their rubber boots as brakes. Hold on tight, because during the 10-minute ride you might reach speeds of 30mph.
Head to the Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint to marvel at panoramic views across Funchal Bay and the city area, then round off your day with a visit to Blandy’s Madeira winery.
