Savour a visit to Palm Tree Garden, one of the lushest tropical paradises on the Isle of Spice.

 

You’ll find Palm Tree Garden nestled on a quiet hillside outside St David, and surrounded by breath-taking mountains with stunning coastal views.

 

This tropical paradise stretches across two impeccably manicured acres and boasts a spectacular variety of over 300 tropical plant species. Included in that are more than 40 varieties of palms and a wonderful collection of rare and beautiful anthuriums, bromeliads and orchids.

 

Splashed with a riot of colour and cloaked in the scent of flowers and spices, you can explore the lily pond and wonder at the famous ‘Upside-Down Tree’. But the star of the show has to be the beautiful Torch Ginger (Etlingera Elatior), which is said not to be found anywhere else.

 

Strolling through this magical setting, keep an eye out for the red-footed tortoises, darting hummingbirds and other exotic fauna. During your visit, you’ll also hear an interesting overview of the island's tropical plants and discover the origin of Grenada’s title – Isle of Spice.
