Cannon located on Fort George is pointed to St. George's, the capital city of Grenada. Built by the French in 1650, this beautiful city, facing a horseshoe-shaped harbor called The Carenage, is surrounded by a hillside of an old volcano crater. The French also built Fort George in 1705 on the promontory overlooking the city.
