Close to historic Fort Frederick you’ll find Smithy's Garden, spread across nearly two acres. Take a guided stroll through this celebrated garden, which is known for its wild tropical feel. You’ll find a huge variety of flowers and foliage, including orchids, bougainvillea, lush ferns, roses and anthuriums, which were pollinated and cultivated by Cynthia Smithy McIntyre, founder of the garden. During your visit you’ll also get insights into the day-to-day care of growing rainforest and deciduous plants in a tropical climate. Smithy's Garden has been featured by the BBC and their flowers are used in the Chelsea Flowers Show.
