If you are bold enough to try this Icelandic delicacy of fermented shark meat, you can wash it down with a local schnapps, Brennivín. Then delve into the local history at historical Mt Helgafell. Legend holds that if you can climb to the top of this sacred 73-metre hill, without looking back or saying a single word, your three wishes will come true. Whether or not it actually works, is still debatable, but the views from the top are amazing!
