A Walk through Forillon National Park

Take ‘A Walk Around the Area’ and discover the natural, wild beauty of the Forillon National Park.

A short ride will take you to the Grande-Grave Heritage Site where you will begin your walk along the Une Tournée dans les Parages trail, which translates to ‘A Walk Around the Area’.

From here the trail will take you into the majestic landscapes of the Forillon National Park. Covering an area of 244 km2, it’s brimming with beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs and quiet coves. The area is also known for its incredible geological formations and phenomena.

As you wander through the fields and boreal forests, you’ll also get a taste of life here in the 19th century, as character actors in period dress bring the lovingly restored buildings and typical houses to life.

Keep your eyes peeled for the vast amount of local flora, as well as the wildlife. The forests are home to moose, foxes, porcupines and hundreds of bird species, including seabirds and blad eagles.

Back in Grand-Grave you’ll have some free time to explore on your own before returning to your ship.
