Setting off from the pier, sit back and relax as you drive along the scenic park roadways towards the Forillon National Park. The majestic and wild landscape covers 140 square miles and offers diverse scenery as well as an historical and cultural background.
Your visit will include the Fort Peninsular and a guided walk at Cap Bon Ami, which offers spectacular rugged coastline views. You’ll also enjoy a photo stop at Cap des Rosiers Lighthouse, a 34 metre high tower that sits proudly on the cliff edge.
Afterwards, you’ll take a drive to L’Anse au Griffon to visit the Le Boutiller Manor, a national historic site and authentically restored home, originally owned by John Le Boutiller, a major cod exporter and political figure. The manor takes you back in time and showcases the local maritime industry. The arts and crafts of the region are also promoted in the gift shop where you may wish to purchase a souvenir.
A typical Canadian lunch and a tea or coffee will be served in a local eatery, before taking the return drive back to the pier.
