The waters of Ísafjarðardjúp teem with fascinating marine life and, from your seat aboard a RIB (rigid inflatable boat), you’ll enjoy an unrivalled view of the wonders you encounter.
Your expert captain will assess the conditions and take you to the areas where you’ll have the highest chance of ‘meeting’ majestic marine mammals. Whales are commonly spotted in this area, including the mighty humpback species, which is friendly and even known to ‘show off’ to visiting boats.
Passing by the beautiful island of Vigur, you’re likely to see several kinds of birds that nest there, including puffins, eider ducks and more. And throughout your journey, you have a great chance of seeing characterful seals frolicking in the water.
