In Glodok, Indonesia's largest Chinatown, you can delve into the rich history of this city within a city. Filled with ancient temples and traditional Chinese architecture, it’s also a hive of commercial activity. You’ll visit Jakarta’s oldest temple, Vihara Dharma Bhakti, which was established in 1650. Then enjoy Chinese snacks and a coffee or tea, at a local tea house.

You’ll also visit the old harbour, Sunda Kelapa, where you’ll witness the age-old tradition of fish auctioning, and see the phinisi schooners, traditional two-masted sailing ships that have been in use since the 17th century.
