Built in 1655, it’s Norway’s oldest lighthouse and it lies on the southernmost tip of the Norwegian mainland – 2,518 kilometres from North Cape. Home to a national museum of lighthouses and maritime culture, it offers amazing, 360º views of the surrounding coastal landscape. After a coffee or tea, and Norwegian treat, head to Mandal for a guided walk through this quaint southern town, filled with white wooden houses. Then return along the scenic North Sea Route, passing farmland and typical Norwegian villages.
