Cruise across Lake Windermere, ride a vintage steam train through the Leven River Valley and discover charming Bowness.
Sit back and take in the scenery on a ride to Lake Windermere, in the Lake District. When you arrive, you’ll board a motor launch for a scenic cruise around England’s largest natural lake, which is lined with beautiful wooded fells, tranquil bays and rugged promontories.
You’ll also hop aboard the vintage Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway for a steam-train tour through the Leven River Valley. Powered by a historic steam locomotive, you’ll chug your way through the stunning countryside in a vintage railway touring car.
Enjoy the charming village of Bowness, on the banks of Lake Windermere. It’s one of the area’s oldest settlements and features a collection of Victorian and Edwardian buildings and cottages. It’s only a short ride to a local hotel for lunch, accompanied by a half pint of beer.
Then relax on the ride back to Liverpool via the quaint village of Newby Bridge.
