An exhilarating Everglades adventure beckons on board an airboat. With a flat bottom and large driving propeller at the stern, the airboat skims the surface of the sawgrass-covered shallow waters – called ‘Grassy Waters’ by the native Seminole people. Discover a huge array of wildlife, including alligators and crocodiles (South Florida is the only place in the world where the two coexist), fish and exotic birds.
The area is known for its large wading birds like the Roseate Spoonbill, Wood Stork, Great Blue Heron and a variety of egrets.
