Cheese & Wine Tasting in Aix en Provence

Visit Aix-en-Provence, the ‘City of a Thousand Fountains’, and enjoy a local cheese and wine tasting.

Your guided walk will take you along the famous Cours Mirabeau. This wide avenue, which is shaded by a double row of plane-trees, was built in the 1600s on the city's medieval ramparts. It’s dotted with fountains and lined with grand 16th–18th century balconied mansions.

You’ll also see a variety of architectural styles at the Saint Sauveur Cathedral, which stretch from the 5th–17th centuries. It boasts a Romanesque nave, Merovingian baptistery and Gothic section.

Aix is also known as the ‘City of a Thousand Fountains’. Highlights include the thermal Mousse Fountain, which produces 34ºC water and dates back to the Romans, and the 19th-century fountain depicting Good King Rene holding the Muscat grapes he introduced to the region.
