Then hop on a traditional Rabelo boat in the heart of the city, across from Vila Nova de Gaia where the port wine cellars are located. These traditional Portuguese wooden boats were used for centuries to transport people and goods along the river. After taking in amazing views of Oporto and its six impressive bridges, disembark in Afurada and walk through this fishing village, famous for its fresh fish. Stop for local snacks and wine in a neighbourhood tavern, before some free time to explore on your own.
