Your coach will sweep you off on the 45-minute drive through majestic scenery to visit the Alessandro di Camporeale Winery. Created in 2000, it’s run by three brothers and their three sons. Care of the vines and the harvest is carried out by hand, according to the ancient rhythms of the land and the seasons. The vines grow on fertile clay and limestone-based soil, in a mild, but not dry, climate, overlooking the imposing plain of Mandranova and distant mountains.  Not only is it beautiful, it’s perfect for the cultivation of native grape varieties, such as Nero d’Avola and Catarratto, as well as international varieties like Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc (as you’ll soon taste for yourself).

You’ll be greeted by an expert wine guide who will give you a fascinating guided tour of the winery, from the reception vats to the fermenting vats, the barrel cellar to the bottling line. After this, you’ll be free to enjoy exploring on your own - making sure not to miss the mouth-watering souvenirs of your day on sale in the winery shop. Then it will be time for a wine tasting, accompanied by traditional bread, topped with the estate’s own perfumed and fruity extra virgin olive oil, and served with local cheese.

At the end of your tour, we’ll return to the ship via Palermo, to give you a taste of the beauty of Sicily’s capital.
