From the lofty viewpoint, photograph the breathtaking Sete Cidades twin lake which shimmers at the bottom of an expansive volcanic crater. Then, head down to its shore to start your ride.
Fill your lungs with pure island air and marvel at the contrasting colours of the Green and Blue lakes that are separated only by a narrow strait and surrounded by lush flora climbing up the slopes of the crater. As you cruise by the water’s edge, your local guide will reveal their knowledge of the environment and the legend of the lakes, said to have been formed by the teardrops of a princess and a shepherd who shared a forbidden love.
