Hop aboard the funicular at the bottom of Penang Hill and enjoy an amazing journey across jungles and through tunnels, to the 833-metre summit. There you’ll get impressive panoramas of Georgetown, and find an array of pretty colonial mansions, reminiscent of an English village Then zip back down on the funicular and head over to Malaysia’s largest temple, the Kek Lok Si Temple. Sitting atop Crane Hill, this incredible Chinese Buddhist Temple features a superb seven-tier pagoda and the soaring 30.2-meter-tall Kuan Yin statue – the Goddess of Mercy.
