Escape on a tranquil hike through the natural wonders and coastal views of Baias Da Agualva.
It’s just a short ride to Agualva village and the trailhead at Pico dos Loiros hill. Then follow the stream of Grota da Lagoa and climb the wooded slope to the viewpoint over Fajãzinha for amazing views. Take a shortcut through the old vineyards, and walk along coastal woodland, to Baía das Pombas, an area known for its bird life, including the common tern, Azores wood pigeon and Cory’s shear-water. Walking towards Ponta do Mistério, you'll find a stunning coastal lagoon, before your final stretch between pastureland and cliffs, lined with fire trees, Azores heather and Australian cheese-wood.
