Cheese Farm Tasting and Gouda Walking Tour

From the pier in Rotterdam, you’ll depart to Hoogerwaard, a 17th century cheese farm that will take you on a cheesemaking journey. Each of the different steps of cheesemaking will be explained and you’ll also get to sample three different cheeses. Jong cheese has a creamy texture and mild flavour, Belegen has a fuller flavour and Oud is the stronger still with a grainy, flaky texture. After savouring the cheese, there will be some time to stroll around the farm and see where the cheese is made.
Next, it’s on to Gouda, a picture postcard city with charming cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways. Upon arrival, join your guide for a walking tour taking in the highlights. A short stop will be made to admire the exterior of St John’s Church, and you’ll also pause at the Market Square, where you’ll see the oldest Gothic Town Hall in Holland, parts of which date back to the 15th century.
