Setting off from the pier, your drive will take you through Saguenay and on to the Little White House for a photo stop. The tiny house stood strong and miraculously survived, as the flood waters of 1996 rumbled past during the largest overland flood in Canadian history.
Your drive will then continue to the site of the Pulp Mill for a photo stop and to view the ruins. By 1910, the Pulp Mill was once the largest producer of mechanical pulp in Canada.
Afterwards, you’ll continue through the charming La Baie district, passing by the ‘Ha Ha Pyramid’ which was erected in memory of the floods of 1996. The name ‘Ha Ha’ is derived from the French word ‘haha’ meaning an unexpected obstacle of the path.
