DAY ONE: (19 February 2025) Sydney > Uluru
Disembark in Sydney and head to Sydney Airport for your flight to Uluru. When you arrive, you’ll be taken to Sails in the Desert Hotel, a luxurious desert oasis tucked away in Australia’s Red Centre. When you arrive, relax and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, take a tour into the UNESCO-listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This vast, ancient desert landscape is home to one of the world’s largest monoliths, Uluru (Ayers Rock), and the nearby sacred red domes of Kata Tjuta. Soak up a captivating historical overview of the area as you walk into the Walpa Gorge toward the heart of the site, on a trail between two of the tallest domes.
Afterwards, return to your hotel for a Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner, a breath-taking storytelling experience that brings the ancestral Mala story to life, through choreographed drones, lasers and projections that illuminate the night sky. This culinary adventure also includes a gourmet dinner hamper.
DAY TWO: (20 February 2025) Uluru
An early morning wake up will see you travelling towards Uluru as the early dawn light highlights its enormous presence. Visit a special location with uninterrupted views where you can watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith, while enjoying a picnic breakfast. You’ll also walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole and learn the creation stories of Liru and Kuniya, followed by a drive around the base of Uluru, before returning to your resort.
Back at the resort, indulge in a delicious lunch and enjoy some free time for an afternoon of leisure.
In the evening enjoy the Sounds of Silence Dinner. Your Outback dinner and drinks will be served under the stars with a chance to see the night sky like never before. Savour canapés and chilled sparkling wine on a viewing platform overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Listen to the sounds of a didgeridoo as you begin an unforgettable dining experience featuring a bush-tucker-inspired buffet with native ingredients. Then settle back and listen to the resident star talker decode the southern night sky and witness the brilliance and sheer volume of stars visible in the absence of city lights.
DAY THREE: (21 February 2025) Uluru > Brisbane
Another early morning takes you takes back into the desert for more majestic views of Uluru. Enjoy a coffee or tea, and a stroll through the stunning Field of Light, an art installation with over 50,000 globes that brings the desert to life. Then return to your hotel for breakfast and to check out.
Afterwards, join your indigenous guide and learn the history of Uluru as you watch a demonstration of traditional Aboriginal bush skills, including weapon making, tool carving, and lighting a fire without matches. You’ll also visit the Cultural Centre for a light lunch before heading back to the airport for your flight to Brisbane. When you arrive at Brisbane airport, you’ll be taken to the cruise terminal to re-join your ship.
