Travel through the glorious countryside of the Waikato region to the Rock Spring Farm. Upon arrival, admire the surroundings as you meander through the grounds to the traditional milk shed. Before entering, you’ll meet the local farmer and discover interesting facts about the New Zealand diary industry.
Next, a brief transfer by coach will take you across to the ‘Red Barn’, where a refreshment will be offered. A short talk will be provided on the history of the ‘Red Barn’ which in days gone by was once a livery stable where stagecoaches would stop to exchange their tired horses. Its then time to experience some interactive butter making and relish the opportunity to spread it lavishly over fresh locally-baked bread. A delicious 2-course country style lunch will then be served.
To round off your tour, explore the grounds and perhaps purchase a souvenir, before heading back to the ship.
