Take a leisurely trip along the Tamaris coast roads to Balaguier Bay which is bordered by two forts; L’Ayguillete and Balaguier Fort. Balaguier fort was recaptured from the English in 1793 by a young Napoleon.
Sanary-sur-Mer is a lovely 16th century port situated in the heart of Provence. This city of light and contrasts will welcome you with its colourful facades, shaded walkways, vineyards and hundred-year-old olive trees. Sanary sur Mer is home to the ‘Roman’ tower which dates back to the 13th and 14th century and was used to defend the region, while the church bell of Notre Dame de Pitie was rung by the resident hermit to warn of enemy ships appearing on the horizon.
There will be an opportunity for some free time to stroll through the village or discover the fashionable boutiques before your return journey to Toulon.
