Trondheim Walking Tour

Beginning at the quayside, walk towards the city centre and cross Market Square with its towering statue of Viking King Olav Tryggvason. Following Munk Street along old, narrow lanes lined with wooden buildings, will lead you past Nidaros Cathedral, the largest in Scandinavia, and the nearby medieval Archbishop’s Palace. Take Elgeseter Bridge across the River Nid into Bakklandet, the old part of the city, where you’ll see countless wooden houses painted in vivid colours. At the bright red drawbridge, follow the river to the newly-restored area of Solsiden, before crossing Blomsterbrua, the Flower Bridge, back to your ship.
