Discover Zadar on Foot

A brief transfer takes you into the heart of Zadar's magnificent Old Town to begin your guided walk.

As your knowledgeable guide leads you along the white marble streets, they will enlighten you with the interesting history of the city and provide plenty of facts and figures. A stop will be made at the Cathedral of St Anastasia, the finest example of Romanesque architecture in Zadar.

After visiting the Cathedral, your tour continues on foot passing, the most monumental church on the east side of the Adriatic; the Church of St Donatus, which is believed to have been built by Bishop Donatus on Roman foundations at the beginning of the 9th century.

You'll then visit the 16th century St Mary Church, with its romanseque bell tower that was built at the beginning of the 12th century by the Hungarian Croatian King, Koloman. The church also boasts a wonderful exhibition of gold and silver relics.

Complete your tour at a local restaurant, where you'll have the opportunity to sample the traditional Maraschino Liqueur, accompanied by homemade bread and cheese.
